Climbing and Hiking Squaw Peak Phoenix Arizona

OK technically this is in Phoenix, about 100 miles north of Tucson but it is a memorable day trip. This mountain is a staple to the Phoenix skyline and makes a great hike. This mountain is probably one of the most climbed mountains in the United States. On any given Saturday you will pass hundreds of people making the climb up or down. It's very easy climbing and the trail has been so well laid out that it is almost like using a stairwell. This is a great family destination as most family members should be able to climb some if not all of it. Those making it to the top are rewarded with a magnificent view of Phoenix from end to end. Sky harbor airport is front and center in your view as well. It takes about 1 hour to get to the top.
